Replace Your Missing Medals

The Army will replace missing or medals not received, and medals over 15 years at no charge. The request is made through one of your U.S. Senators or  your U.S. Representative who in turn forwards it to Dept. of Army. It  takes about 90 days to get the set of the awards and decorations from Army from the time your congressperson sends a copy of your request  to Army. Your relative's name would be engraved by Army on the back of  each of his or her medals.

Please note the following:
1. To get a relative's awards and decorations, it must be a blood relative (Uncles, aunts, cousins and in-laws do not qualify).
2. The requester can send a request to his or her  congressperson or senator, or ask Jim Hanson to do it for you. If you ask Mr. Hanson do it, you should  provide him a copy of discharge papers or the Army Serial Number and the name of the Senator or Representative to whom they would like to have the awards and decorations request sent.
