After the service I went to Washington University in St. Louis on G.I. Bill
(bless it) then into "heavy construction" with Morrison Knudsen for some 20
years. Started my own (one third owner) construction company specializing in
building railroads. After 7 years, someone else wanted the company enough to let
me retire at 55. Married to Dorothy Piazza for 35 years, when she died. One
child, Deborah Gray O'Brien and one grandchild, Courtney Rachel Gray. My days
are very rewarding with heavy involvement in The Forgotten Children's Fund
programs and making balloon animals or hats for most any person I see. My
activity in the service is a dimming memory and only the bright spots remain.
